Qataris have made direct conversations with the Old Trafford hierarchy. A fund linked to the Qatari Royal Family has expressed an interest in buying Manchester United, with a bid now under consideration before next week’s deadline for interested parties.

Qatari investors would not only redevelop Old Trafford, but also the vast swathes of land surrounding the stadium that are owned by the club.

The group that are bidding for Manchester United are described as entirely separate from QSI, and the money would be from an individual fund rather than a Sovereign wealth fund.

Discussions between Manchester United and the Qataris have already taken place as a group of investors from the oil-rich state launch their bid for the club.

The Glazers family will probably struggle to attract their desired six billion pound bid for Manchester United, according to those taking part in the process. They believe between 4.1 billion and 4.5 billion is more realistic.

Qatar’s Sovereign wealth fund is exploring the option of buying a minority stake in a premier league club, with interest in Manchester United.

Talks between the prospective buyers and the Manchester United football club’s hierarchy have been ongoing. The Qataris are also confident that there will be no issues presented by Qatar Sports Investments’ (QSI) ownership of PSG.

Sir Jim Ratchliffe has hired JP Morgan Chase and Co. and Goldman Sachs Group to advise him on a bid for Manchester United.

Documents circulated by the Raine Group, the New York bank managing the sale of the Glazer family, state that potential buyers have until Friday, February 17 to table an offer.

Insiders insist that a serious interest in buying Manchester United is more limited than the Glazers hoped: certainly at the present price tag of between six billion to eight billion pounds.

In addition to the interest from big American investors, there are also claims of possible bids for Manchester United from countries such as China and Singapore, as well as countries in the Middle East.

Manchester United and Crystal Palace were charged by the FA following 67th-minute behavior by players from both teams on Saturday, 4 February 2023. Both clubs have until Monday, 13th February 2023 to respond.

Erik Ten Hag has spoken about the game against Leeds which was played on Wednesday 08 February 2023, “I am so angry we started a Derby in this way. I want to play now (against Leeds) but I have to wait, my players feel the same. We have to save our energy and make sure we are ready for Sunday.”

“It will encourage us when we play the second game in a few days that if we play our game we can beat them (Leeds), we have to beat them.”

Erik Ten Hag has voiced his opinion on the return of Jadon Sancho and his performance on the pitch since November 2022. “We need players who can create and make the difference, and Jadon Sancho is definitely one of those players… I am very happy for him. He’s on the right path and if he continues on this path, he can do even more to help us achieve our goals… It is in his own hands, if he wants he can do it. I really enjoy seeing him playing like that”.

Erik Ten Hag also speaks about Marcus Rashford: “Rashford in the middle in the next game? We will analyze this game first, then see how the team is going to choose the XI.”
