Viola Davis is an African American actress born August 11, 1965, in Saint Matthews, South Carolina, U.S.), American actress. The actress is best known for her roles as Analiss Keating in the famous ABC series “How To Get Away With Murder”, but also her roles in “The Help,” “and “Get on Up.” More recently, she won the four major North American entertainment awards, the so-called EGOT: Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony.


 


The actress was praised multiple times by the biggest names in the industry. "Viola Davis is an extraordinary actress. She is a force of nature. She can transform herself into any character with such power and conviction," said Meryl Streep. Diesel Washington, her co-actor in “The Fence,” claimed that Viola is “one of the most gifted actresses on the planet and a powerful, fierce and dynamic talent that should be celebrated."

Viola Davis has talked about her past as a child a significant number of times. She faced numerous challenges growing up, including racism and poverty.  But her passion for acting led her to participate in local theater productions as a child. After she finished high school, she attended Rhode Island College, where she obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in theater. Step by step, the actress has built her career from minor roles in theatres to the most prominent ones in Hollywood.
